From website to 'data-driven newsroom': Aperto redesigns the Baloise Group's digital communications

Aperto has created a new corporate communications platform for the Baloise Group, one of the most innovative insurance providers in Europe. On baloise.com, the company presents itself with a fresh design and a clear user experience. The digital agency and IBM subsidiary Aperto, was the creative and technical partner for the relaunch and was responsible for the concept, UX, visual design, frontend and backend implementation, and analytics.

For each of the respective target groups – such as media professionals, shareholders, customers, investors and financial analysts, as well as job applicants – the new corporate website offers a clear introduction to the topics and information relevant to them. Based on the analysis of publicly accessible and anonymous data, trends and interests are identified, enabling visitors to be provided with the content they are looking for on the site. Press releases, industry information and the company and career blog are integrated into a 'data-driven newsroom'.

All areas of the site are responsive and are always optimally displayed, whether on a smartphone, tablet or laptop. The technical implementation was based on the Swiss content management system Magnolia CMS.

Aperto has been an agency partner of Baloise’s for many years. In 2018, the agency had already relaunched the Swiss customer portal baloise.ch and created a central entry point for the entire product range of Basler Versicherungen. Following baloise.com, all of the insurance company’s other domains (Luxembourg, Belgium, Germany and asset management) will also take on the new design by 2020.
