Materna and Aperto relaunched the German Pension Insurance website

Aperto and Materna enable digital data collection for the current, Germany-wide survey with a web relaunch

Since August 31st, the website for Zensus 2021 has been online – with information on the background and the status of the new Germany-wide data collection by the Statistical Offices of the Federation. The online questionnaire has also been available since mid-September. This allows the census survey to be conducted electronically on the basis of the new website. A detailed pre-test with randomly selected, voluntary test users is currently being conducted for this purpose. With the innovative online service and the new, responsive design, the website is oriented towards modern user behavior. The concept and design of the website and the questionnaires were developed by the digital agency and IBM subsidiary Aperto. The IT service provider Materna has technically designed the relaunch of the website and implemented it on the basis of the Government Site Builder (GSB).

Every ten years, the census provides an up-to-date planning and decision-making basis for politics, administration and business. The updated website www.zensus2021.de, jointly published by the Statistical Offices of the Federal Government, provides information on the background and status of the current preparations for the survey. On the other hand, it enables questions to be answered digitally as standard. Immediately after the launch of the new website, the functionality for uploading the survey was integrated and the corresponding registration form on the homepage was supplemented. The new online questionnaire has been activated since mid-September 2019 and is currently being tested in advance with selected voluntary users. 


Materna and Aperto have implemented web presence

The technical implementation was carried out by the IT service provider Materna on the basis of GSB 7; the new website was conceived and designed by the digital agency Aperto. The website is user-friendly and very clearly structured, has an appealing design with intuitive navigation and interactive graphic elements, and is optimized for use on mobile devices. For the implementation of the online form, Materna integrated an appropriate web service interface to connect the questionnaire application to the content management system and developed the design specifications.
