New business for the IBM iX agency family within the DACH region: Together with their sister agency ecx.io, Berlin agency, Aperto, was able to win AOK-Bundesverband as a client. Following a multiple-round, Europe-wide pitch process, the IBM subsidiary was awarded the contract to relaunch the intra- and extranet (BVnet) of AOK-Bundesverband, an association that represents the political interests of the eleven AOKs nationwide.
The AOK is one of the largest health insurances in Germany. The eleven independent AOKs usually cover the area of one or several federal states.
The win entails the conception, development and implementation of a new intra- and extranet structure for the AOK association including content migration, training and technical support. Aperto is primarily responsible for the strategic development and the UX and UI design of the new BVnet. The technical execution and implementation will be carried out by ecx.io using a new integrated system from Sitecore and Sharepoint. The Dusseldorf agency is a Sitecore Platinum Partner and already boasts a range of successful projects, including for Alnatura, in its portfolio.
“With the relaunch of the AOK BVnet, we hope to fundamentally improve content presentation, collaboration and knowledge sharing on a national level within the AOK community. Aperto, together with ecx.io, were able to offer us the convincing combination of a strong user experience and an individual, technical approach,” explains Kai Senf, Director of Policy and Corporate Development for AOK-Bundesverband.
“Digitalisation has fundamentally changed work processes and the requirements for internal tools. We’re excited at the challenge to create a ‘Work Environment 4.0’ for AOK-Bundesverband, with user-friendliness and intuitive handling at the forefront,” says Stefan Bessing, Executive Director at Aperto – an IBM company.
The contract will run for three years. The conception and execution will take place in an agile co-creation process with a team between Aperto in Berlin and the Dusseldorf-based ecx.io.
The AOK-Bundesverband represents the political interests of the regional AOKs in federal politics and with the contractual partners of the health insurance fund at federal level. In addition, innovative health care ideas and projects are developed in cooperation with the AOKs. Other important tasks include maintaining the "AOK - die Gesundheitskasse" brand and supporting nationwide communication and public relations as well as financial management within the joint liability scheme of the AOK community. The health insurance company insures more than 26 million people nationwide in eleven AOKs - almost one third of the entire population. More at: https://www.aok-bv.de/aok/bundesverband/
