Aperto developed a completely new digital presence for health insurance company, BKK Mobil Oil, that orientates itself towards a young, web-savvy target audience. Focus: the digital user experience for both new and existing clients.

These days, health insurance companies can barely differentiate themselves from their competition. Special offers, added value services and a positive image have to make the difference. The new, progressively designed corporate website of www.bkk-mobil-oil.de sets BKK Mobil Oil apart in the market — and, through a unique visual language, clear information architecture and multi-faceted content, ensures a relevant, modern experience. Aperto was responsible for the strategic consulting, UX conceptualisation, design as well as front- and backend programming.

The goal of the relaunch was to create a modern digital presence that appeals to the younger target audiences as much as the existing client base — particularly in terms of use on mobile devices. But, naturally, the internal synergies remain pivotal: easily accessible and well-processed facts relating to services, health and prevention ensure, for example, the reduction of personal queries to the service centre and thereby save costs. 

“A next-generation corporate web estate has to provide a lot in order to satisfy and impress all stakeholders, and to define the company’s brand. With its new presence, BKK Mobil Oil is now well prepared for the digital era and, in terms of customer experience, is far ahead of other insurance companies,” says Marko Thorhauer, Managing Director at Aperto.

For the backend, Aperto employed the Magnolia content management system, which was then built up modularly for BKK Mobil Oil. The website’s managers are now able to, for example, adapt forms themselves, while the refined editor concept significantly reduces the degree of maintenance. A further feature is the integration of the full-text search which guides visitors directly to the sought information, thereby helping with conversion optimisation as well. Aperto is also responsible for additional services such as apps for doctor, pharmacy and business partner searches as well as a career app.
