Digital B2B product marketing meets corporate communications: Since 2017, the "Commercial Aircraft", "Helicopters" and "Defence and Space" business divisions, and the Airbus Group have been communicating worldwide under the umbrella of the "Airbus" brand. One brand, one platform for all: a major transformation for brand management and communication culture. Aperto, the global group's long-standing digital agency, was commissioned to merge all its formerly independent digital presences into a single, seamless experience. Strategy, branding, design and content, not to mention a fascination with flying were required.

The Airbus website serves very heterogeneous target groups, from fans to press representatives, partners, suppliers and job applicants. The new website had to appeal to all target groups, informing and activating them in as audience-specific a way as possible – and thereby strengthen the brand awareness.

From Corporate Communication to Corporate Storytelling

The new digital presence combines corporate and product content through a comprehensive content strategy. Aperto takes the product presentation to a new level: from the huge A380 to the futuristic H160 helicopter and the Mars Express spacecraft – the entire portfolio is now presented generously, emotionally and comprehensively in the new digital brand design. Innovation topics such as urban air mobility and electric aircraft are given more space and show that Airbus does much more than just produce aircraft: The company is actively shaping the future of mobility.

Spot on brand strategy

The new corporate website shows that Airbus takes user-centricity seriously: Target group-relevant content meets smart design and a strong brand language. The brand strategy "One brand, one company" is now also reflected in the digital presence.

Responsive templates, modules and UX components using the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) facilitate the work of the international editorial team.

Various platforms were merged into a uniform website. Flexible content modules represent the extensive topic spectrum. 4000 press releases were bundled on one platform.
